Hi all and thanks for joining me again! Today I have two new plates and one new nail art tool to show you from UberChic Beauty. UberChic stamping plates are my absolute favourite so when I saw they had released two new plates for autumn/halloween I knew I just had to have them!
The first plate is the the newest addition to the Lovely Leaves line. Absolutely perfect for autumn manis, the plate has 36 images including 16 assorted leaves and 3 layering images for stamping aspen trees. The standard images measure 22mm x 17mm and I never have a problem with them fitting my nails either on length nor width.

The smaller, individual images are shown together on the last three swatch sticks.
The images in this plate are beautiful and several would work well with reverse stamping and decals. My favourite is definitely the layered aspen trees.

The second plate is the latest instalment of the Hallowe’en series, simply named Halloween 04. This plate is PACKED with images, with a good amount of smaller, singular images. The first two photos show the full stamping images and the second two photos show the individual images, grouped together.

I did have trouble picking up a few images on this plate, mostly those with a lot of “blank space” like the large ghost negative stamping image (photo 1) and the coffin (photo 3). Also, I found that the word images picked up better with a very gentle press of the stamper rather than a rolling motion.
The last item was very kindly sent for review by Annette from Rainbow Connection (where I bought the two plates from). UberChic have recently released a new line of nail art gadgets and the wax crystal picker is one of them. With a medium softness, pointed wax tip it makes placing diamanté, pearls and other 3D nails art decorations so easy! The wax tip is also removable (by unscrewing the wax tip from the silver part at the end). This will be great if you accidentally damage the wax tip as you won’t have to buy a whole new picker, although at the time of writing this UberChic were not offering the wax tips individually. I will contact them to see if this is planned for the future and will update when I get a reply.
The shaft of the picker is filled with beautiful AB effect crystals and has the UberChic brand stamped on.

The other end of the picker is used to firmly press the nail art item into the glue/gel. It is metal so will be able to be wiped down with acetone should you get any glue/gel on it.
The process of using the picker is very simple. Using the wax tip, gently touch it to the nail art item…

You don’t need to press hard (this could damage the wax tip) as the diamanté (etc.) will easily stick on.

Next, place the diamanté on the glue/gel area of the nail…

…then flip to the metal end and use it to gently, but firmly, press the diamanté into the glue/gel. And there you go, piece of cake!

The picker also comes in its own cute, hard plastic case (see first picker photo) to protect it.
Well then, I guess my nail art is sorted for the next few months! I am trying to do more nail art so will be incorporating some of the Lovely Leaves images into my autumn manis and of course I will be doing some Hallowe’en themed manis!
All of the items in this post are available from Rainbow Connection (UK) or UberChic directly.
Thanks for reading, til next time… x x
