I was recently sent a few items from Beauty Big Bang to review. I got to choose my own items so I naturally spent a couple of hours (no exaggeration) perusing the many pages of nail bits ‘n’ bobs. I tried to pick items that would be useful in everyday nail life, go-to items that every nail addict needs. The first item was the Silicone Clear Jelly Stamper and Scraper. I have countless stampers but I have found that each one is different, even two of the same stamper can have slight variations.

The stamper I received is a pinky-purple colour and has a clear lid with “Beauty Bigbang” across it. It’s quite a simple design but is very sturdy, the plastic body of the stamper is quite thick. The head itself is super squishy but not sticky (my favourite kind of stamper!). It also comes with a clear scraper which has a Christmas design on it, but that doesn’t bother me as the designs soon disappear on my scrapers from the sheer amount of acetone that I use! The card is credit card sized, so much bigger than my usual type of scraper meaning it is much more flexible than I like, however, I found that if I use the longer side to scrape with then this makes it more rigid, perfect.

For the purposes of testing how well the stamper picks up I used a variety of polishes. I found that I didn’t need to do any prep with the stamper short of a quick roll with a lint roller.
Test 1: Regular stamping polish
I don’t exclusively use stamping polish for my nail art but what better test of a stamper than a polish created especially for the job!

Test 2: Holographic stamping polish
I have found that sometimes stampers just don’t seem to like holo stamping polish, whether it’s the formula or maybe the holo pigment that is the issue I don’t know, but some refuse to pick up.

Test 3: Generic nail polish
As mentioned before, I generally will try stamping with anything and everything so I like a stamper that will play along. I pulled a random polish from my drawer and these are the results.

Here are some designs I did using this stamper:

Thoughts:
I really liked this stamper, it is as good as my trusty go-to stamper, better even as it is a lot cheaper. The head is very squishy and flexible, I pressed the swatch sticks onto it pretty hard and the head stayed in place. It picks up beautifully and transfers cleanly too. It handles all types of polish well and only needs a gentle roll to pick up.
The scraper is a little too flexible for me but using the longer side did help to make it more rigid. I know there are a lot of people out there that like a good, bendy scraper so this one is for you!
I think I will pick up at least another one of these stampers, I like to have an extra for times when I’m making decals on the stamper head. There are different colours to choose from so I think I’ll mix it up next time!

As always, thanks for reading! ‘Til next time… x
