Yes, you DID read that right! Pastel multichromes now exist and they are stunning! The lovely Bianca over at P.O.P must have some magic up her sleeve as these polishes are something else.

The first polish that I was kindly sent was ‘I Do Be a Stubborn Slick’. On the nail you will see violet, pink, turquoise, green, blue and even a smidge of grey. This is an absolutely stunning polish. Two coats is all that is needed and they dry smooth (out of sheer habit I applied top coat in all of my swatches).

Next up is ‘Slick Days of Summer’. This bright and beautiful polish flashes between orange, gold and different shades of green. It’s like a glorious sunset in a field . For your nails…

The next polish is ‘Bootylishslick’. This is more of a rainbow in a bottle – there is violet, pink, gold, orange and green. This gives the pink-lover in me emoji-style heart eyes 😀

The last polish that was sent to me was ‘Limeslickcle’. This is all about the greens… there’s a little bit of orange gold and blue in there too but they were a little more camera shy. Green lover, this is a must have!

As you can see, these are some shifty beauties! I had a huge problem trying to capture the colour changes as what I could see with my eye was not always seen by the camera. These really are polishes that you have to see in person to fully appreciate their full beauty!
The polishes themselves cover beautifully in just two coats. On the first coat you will think “oh my gosh, I’m going to need 4 coats to get this done” but just trust the polish, two coats is perfection. I used top coat in all of my swatches but that is pure habit, they dry smooth.
Some have said that “they’re not pastels” but, to me, they are a lot lighter and more delicate colour wise than most multichromes, as “normal” multichromes tend to have a darker base to let the pigment glow but these polishes do not. They truly are something new and exciting!
I have seen lots of beautiful swatches and videos for this new collection but none can truly capture the full range of colour that is shown in person. If you had any doubts about these polishes then please do try them, they absolutely will not (in my humble opinion) disappoint! Now I just need to get my little paws on the rest of the collection!
Available tomorrow (10th August) at P.O.P Polish and at the UK stockist of P.O.P Polish, Rainbow Connection
Will you be grabbing some of the new pastel multichromes? Which is your favourite? Let me know in the comments and as always, thanks for reading! Til next time… x
