Well, as you can already tell, I’m a bit behind with this seeing as this is May’s box and we’re in June! Technically I’ve come in under the wire as today is delivery day for the June box but I haven’t had mine delivered yet! Ha!
Anyhoo… if you’re not familiar with Mani and Lola, it is a monthly subscription box from the people behind Nail Polish Direct. Each month you receive a box containing nail polishes, treatments and tools to give yourself the perfect mani. As it’s using stock from NPD you can expect beautiful polishes from fab brands such as OPI, China Glaze, Morgan Taylor and more. In fact, it’s because of these brands that i subscribed!
Mani and Lola started back in November 2017 with their first box which was absolutely AMAZING and it has been just as good for every month since! I always look forward to getting my little paws on it and discovering the goodies inside!
So, back to May’s box… May saw us receive four nail polishes as well as a body treatment and as a special treat, a face treatment too! The body treatment came in the form of Cuccio Milk and Honey body butter/scrub cream. I adore the scent of this range, it’s sweet and warm but not overpowering. The cream itself is very nourishing, I love to use it as a skin treat! The face treatment that we received was a Nails Inc. sheet mask. I LOVE face masks/sheets/scrubs so this was a fab bonus! I haven’t managed to get time to use mine yet (relaxation time is elusive here at the moment!) but I have heard great things about them so can’t wait to try it!
Right then, onto the polishes! There were four in May’s box. The first of which was Butter London’s “Fancy”, a beautiful muted purple creme. I haven’t tried Butter London before but I can see where the brand name came from, it applied just like butter! 2 easy coats and top coat were used in my swatches.
Such a beautiful colour! I teamed this with water decals from Milv and some AB diamantés.

The next polish was “Rule the Runway” from Morgan Taylor. I have lots of Morgan Taylor polishes but have only ever used a couple so this was great to try! It is a lilac-toned grey creme. Lovely smooth application, but it did need a good shake before! I used 2 coats again.

For the nail art I teamed it in a gradient with “Fancy” and stamped using Esmaltes da Kelly “Medusa”, Moyou London “After the Storm” and Lina “Make Your Mark 3”.

The third polish was another first-try for me, Jessica “Boho Babes”. This is a bright apricot creme which is just stunning! Instant summer vibes from this colour! It does make my hands look darker though! I used 3 thin coats with this, just to get an even coverage.
I stamped over this with UberChic plate 5-01 and Moyou London “White Knight”.

The last polish in the box was a bonus colour to celebrate the birth of Prince Louis, aptly, OPI “It’s A Boy!”. This powder blue creme was typical OPI and needed three thin coats to mask any “shadows”. It finished up looking tip top though!

I had to stamp clouds over this lovely blue, but I used Esmaltes da Kelly “Andromeda” to give the clouds a silver lining 🙂 I also used Moyou London “White Knight” and UberChic plate 2-02.

Ok then, what a box! The retail value of this box was £67.45 which means the £20 (plus £2.95 P+P) price tag is a complete bargain!
I’m currently sitting and waiting for the delivery man to knock on my door and hand me the June box! I’m so excited on delivery day, these boxes really do have something for everyone and encourage you to keep on top of your hand/nail care routine as they regularly include creams and scrubs to help your hands and nails look their best.
So then, what do you think of the Mani and Lola box? If you subscribe, what is your favourite part? Polish? Treatments? All of it?! If you don’t subscribe, will you try it in the future? If you want to subscribe you can find all the information at http://www.maniandlola.com
Thank you for reading, I’m off to see where the delivery driver is! ‘Til next time… x
