Cienna Rose – Summer Collection

**PR sample**

Hi all! 🙂 Today I’ll be doing a review of the new Summer Collection from Cienna Rose Beauty. When Carla emailed me to ask if I would swatch her new collection of course I said yes! I have never had a polish from CR that was less than awesome so I was excited to try these out!

The collection adds 5 new colours to the range and, as always, there’s a little something for everyone. Let’s jump right in!

“It’s Not Me, It’s You” was the first out of the box for me as it was just so eye catching! A beautiful pale, sage green base with plenty of gold shimmer and blue glitters, this makes it very sparkly! I used two coats plus top coat for my swatch.

This polish was just crying out for some nail art, although I don’t think my choice of stamping/dotting was the best! 😀

Next up is “Shopping Spree”. This is a real Barbie pink shade and the creme formula applies like butter! The coverage is fantastic and two easy coats did the job. My swatches show two coats plus top coat (although it is glossy enough without top coat!).

For the nail art, I added an accent nail of “Rainbow Snow” (also by Cienna Rose) and stamped using Uberchic plate 5-01, Moyou London “White Knight” and Cienna Rose “Pretty Please”.

The third polish from the new collection is called “Latte Break”. I tend to avoid nudes unless I need them for nail art but I think this look ok with my skin tone so this gets a big “yep” from me! This is a creme formula with a delicate golden shimmer. It was another polish that was easy to apply, I used two coats and (out of habit) top coat.

I decided to match the gold shimmer in this polish with another Cienna Rose beauty: “Big Spender”. I then stamped using Uberchic plate 24-03 and Moyou London “Black Knight”.

What is a new collection without a good red? This stunning blood red number is called “Snob”. It reminds me of another Cienna Rose polish, “Stiletto” but Snob has a beautiful golden shimmer… The creme base to this polish means it’s another easy two-coater. I added top coat but it’s just as shiny without.

I decided to team “Snob” with these pretty water decals from Milv as I had been sent them by another lovely swatcher (@deespolishednails) and was dying to try them out! The stamping was done using the Uberchic Lovely Leaves plate and Moyou London “Hello, Absinthe” and “White Knight”.

The last (but by no means least) polish out of the box was “Marshmallow”. This ballet pink creme is similar to the gorgeous “Pink Chiffon” from Cienna Rose, but slightly less sheer and without the pink/violet shimmer. This, again covered beautifully in 2 coats but I did three to cover the little bit of VNL that I could see.

I think this was my favourite nail art, it is a gradient of “Marshmallow”, “Shopping Spree” and “Pretty Please” stamped with Moyou London “White Knight” and “Black Knight”, using Lina “Make Your Mark -03” and topped with China Glaze “Fairy Dust”. I just love how this turned out! 🙂

Well then! It seems I never have anything negative to say about Cienna Rose polishes and that is simply because they are so wonderful to work with! The formula is flawless and is quite self-levelling (especially if you “float” the polish onto the nail rather than over-brushing it) so it means the finished result is shiny and smooth. The collection, as well as the others I have received previously, don’t follow a formula theme, i.e. holo/glitter/creme/jelly, so there really is something for everyone!

This collection is available at www.ciennarose.com right now and you can check out extra swatches/nail art using these beautiful polishes on Instagram, @ciennarosebeauty
