Hi guys! I’m a bit late posting this as I’ve already done the swatches over on my Instagram, but due to catching my husbands man-flu (I will get revenge! Mwahahaha!) I have had absolutely no energy.
The lovely Carla over at Cienna Rose Beauty very kindly asked me to swatch her newly released colours. She also sent some extra colours from the existing line so look out for those on my Instagram (you can check out my IG account here: @princessmonkee)
Ok then, let’s have a look at these beauties! First up is “Pretty Please”, a beautiful grape purple creme. I absolutely adore this colour, as it’s bright but not pastel. This went on smoothly in two coats with top coat shown in the pic below:

Purples are notorious for being a pain to photograph so the colour is a smidge lighter than shown on the nail, it is actually the colour of the bottle. Here’s a little stamping with another of the new releases, “Big Spender”:

Well then I guess the next polish will have to be “Big Spender” to show it in all its glory! This is an antique gold polish and it is super sparkly! Again, this covered perfectly in two coats and dries lovely and smooth. Shown with top coat below:

And the customary macro:

I decided that I wanted to do some nail art which would tone down the sparkle but still let it shine through so I made some decals with black polish and another Cienna Rose polish “Date Night”:

I love how this turned out! Here’s a macro of those beautiful roses:

Such a perfect trio! ❤
The third new release is called “Rainbow Snow”, a nude crelly base with different sizes of ice blue and magenta hex glitters. This was my favourite polish and actually the first that I swatched as I wanted to put it on as soon as I got it out of the box! This is two coats and top coat and there was no need to fish for glitter, perfect!

I used to hate crelly glitter polishes but I’ve come round over time as they’re just so fun! Here’s a macro to show off those glitters:

I stamped over this with some squiggles and butterflies:

I didn’t think this was going to turn out right but it’s super cute! Here’s a butterfly macro:

The next polish is “Black Diamond”. This polish is a black base with a sprinkling of shimmer which mostly looks red (to me) but then shifts to gold and pink. This covered so nicely, two thin coats and top coat and tada!

The shimmer is much more sparkly in person, sometimes it’s hard to catch the full sparkle in a photo but here’s a closer pic:

I love black and silver together so I had to do some stamping over this:

I just love how the shimmer peeks through. Macro!:

The final polish from the new releases is called “Something Blue”. My camera failed me with this one, it’s a grey-toned powder blue polish with a gorgeous ice-blue shimmer. My pics came out more grey 😦

It’s a lot closer to the true colour in the macro but still not 100%:

When I did this nail art it was -6 degrees outside with 4 inches of snow so please don’t think I’m nuts! I do LOVE that little penguin though!

A snowy macro:

Well then, I really loved these new polishes. The formula is great and easy to work with, no messing about, just two easy coats every time. I love the range of colours in this new selection too, there’s a bit of everything in there!
Keep an eye out on my Instagram as I’ve started posting extra polish pics on there.
