Hello guys and girls! I hope you all had a lovely New Year! How better to get into 2018 than with some pretty polishes!
Today I have The Ethereal Collection from ‘Ard As Nails, which is a pretty trio of polishes. They are a grey holo base, each with a different coloured shimmer. This collection is perfect for the transition into spring, the delicate hues remind me of those first splashes of colour from the growth of new flowers. They would be great as the base for some stamping or nail art and stamp beautifully too, although better over darker colours to show the shimmer.

The first polish in the trio is “Sacred”. The grey holo base holds a violet shimmer and is just wow!
Just look at that shimmer! And that holo! *swoon*. AND it is only ONE COAT! Here’s a macro:
I also stamped over black and white to give an idea of how it would look over different coloured bases. My pinky has matte top coat and is just as yummy!
Next up is “Celestial”. This has a vibrant blue shimmer which, due to the grey base, seems to give a tiny bit of a blue tinge to the polish overall. This is not a bad thing however as Celestial is gorgeous.
This was two thin coats and top coat, although one thicker coat would probably do just fine. Look at the shimmer and sparkle! Here’s a macro:
Again, this stamped beautifully. The shimmer shows a little better over darker colours but they still look great over a lighter base.
The final polish in the trio is called “Delicate”, which I think perfectly describes this collection. Delicate has a red/pink shimmer and covers beautifully in one coat.
I love the red and grey together in this polish, it’s a lovely warm effect. Here’s a macro:
Once again, this stamps like a dream and looks beautiful matte. There really is something about matte shimmers, isn’t there?
I really loved this collection, it was nice to have a change from the dark and moody winter colours. I think this would make another great “work collection” or as mentioned before, would be such a pretty base for nail art. The formula was perfect and applied like a dream.
