Hi guys! Sorry it’s been a bit quiet lately. I’ve been mega busy at home and have only really swatched by request… speaking of that… I was sent some of the new Summer 2017 Vice Collection polishes by the lovely Annette at Rainbow Connection and oh my gosh, wow! There are 6 creme polishes and a holographic top coat (which I will be picking up upon release). I’m not going to do the usual tease, I’m just going to start by saying that I LOVE these polishes and would recommend them to any neon fans, they are bright, the formula is amazing and the colours are just WOW! Let’s take a look then!
This first beauty is ‘Game Over’, a stunning neon red creme that just screams “Look at me!” Sunglasses are definitely needed for this one!
Here is ‘Game Over’ shown stamped over white, stamped over black, with matte top coat and with regular top coat.

This equally bright number is ‘Extra’, as in extra bright! This shocking orange creme will be perfect for summer manis and nail art š

The third neon I swatched is ‘Kushy’, this green is as bright as they get. I love green but this is definitely something else!

When you look at ‘Fame’ alongside it’s sisters you could be forgiven for thinking “That’s just a normal turquoise polish”, but when you get it on it’s own it shines as bright as the rest. This could be a polish for the less adventurous when it comes to neons…

As a massive lover of all polishes pink, I was happy to see one in this collection. This is ‘Socialite’ an in-your-face mid-pink neon creme with attitude!

Last but by no means least, we have ‘One-Night Stand’, a vivid indigo neon with class. I personally think that this, along with ‘Fame’ would suit the less adventurous when it comes to neons whilst still having something for the Vice enthusiasts (hoarders!).
Here is ‘One-Night Stand’ shown stamped over white, stamped over black, with matte top coat and with regular top coat. It doesn’t really stand out over black but in person you can see an almost purple shade which is subtle but would be great for nail art.
Ok then, thoughts on this collection…
- Colours: I thought that the choice and range of colours was spot on, a little bit of everything and something for everyone. The neon is spot on, fantastically eye-searing and absolutely perfect for summer.
- Formula: The formula itself is very smooth and buttery. These could easily be one-coat polishes with a careful application. I struggled a little but that is just because my nails are so long now and it has been very warm so, given shorter nails and cooler weather I’m sure I could get these on in one coat. Saying that, I’m a stickler for doing two coats regardless!
- Overall: I absolutely love this collection! I can’t pick a favourite colour (which I think may be a first for me!) as they are all just so eye-catching! As a fan of pink and green you would think I would lean toward them but I can honestly see me wearing every colour again. I thought the collection was very versatile, they look great with matte top coat and absolutely AMAZING stamped over white polish.
As I mentioned before, I will be picking up the holo top coat too, so I will do another blog post once I have had a play around with that.
Well, I hope your eyeballs are still intact, I should have had a brightness warning! If you would like to grab your own Vice polishes then they will be available at Rainbow Connection TODAY (21st June) at 8pm!
Thanks for reading, let me know which your favourite was in the comments. ‘Til next time… x
***These polishes were provided for the purpose of swatch pictures but the above review is my own thoughts on them.***
